The Living Sacred

The Living Sacred

In many folk traditions, belief is not confined to places of worship or moments of ritual. It lives within everyday acts of making, storytelling, celebration, and remembrance. Images become carriers of shared knowledge, drawing upon symbols, motifs, and visual languages that have been passed down through generations. Created and recreated over time, these forms remain active participants in cultural life, connecting the personal to the collective and the present to the ancestral.

Together, these works reveal the sacred as something lived rather than preserved, a presence continually renewed through memory, repetition, and the enduring act of making.
